1. Who we are and what this site does

Y Solar ("we", "us", "our") operates ysolar.co.uk. We are an independent information and lead-referral service. We are not a solar installer, EPC provider, or MCS-certified contractor. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of DESNZ, Ofgem, MCS, or any government scheme. We connect visitors with third-party installers and service providers ("Installers") who operate independently of us.

2. Acceptable use

You may use this site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site without our prior written consent;
• submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form;
• use the site to compete with us or to build a competing database;
• interfere with the site's security, availability, or performance; or
• use the site to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful code.

We may suspend or block access if we reasonably suspect a breach.

3. No warranty on Installer work

Any quotation, introduction, or referral to an Installer is provided for convenience only. We do not vet, guarantee, or endorse any Installer's qualifications, workmanship, pricing, compliance, or customer service. All contracts for installation, maintenance, or related services are strictly between you and the Installer. You should carry out your own due diligence (including checking MCS certification, insurance, and references) before engaging any Installer.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we exclude all implied warranties and conditions;
• we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or pure economic loss (including lost savings, revenue, or data);
• our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the site or any referral shall not exceed £100; and
• nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

5. Intellectual property

All content, design, text, graphics, logos, and software on ysolar.co.uk (excluding third-party marks used with permission) are owned by or licensed to Y Solar and protected by UK and international IP laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

6. Links to third-party sites

The site may contain links to Installer websites or other third-party resources. We do not control those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
